Extending Expertise to New Industries

Yazaki’s deep expertise in product-development, engineering, manufacturing and Artificial Intelligence (AI) – is now being applied by Yazaki Innovations to a broader range of industries and markets including warehousing, automotive electrification, construction, agriculture, marine, motorcycles, off-highway, and aerospace.

At CES 2026, visitors will experience an immersive, hands-on showcase of YII’s innovation strategy, global partnerships, and next-generation technologies, including:

Yazaki Portfolio of Products: A selection of high-voltage, low-voltage, and high-speed electrical and communication solutions, reinforcing Yazaki’s role as the world’s largest provider of Electrical Distribution Systems for all forms of transportation and mobility.

PreFab Home Wiring™: A breakthrough new home electrical wiring solution based on Yazaki’s 30-year history in prefabricated wiring in Japan. YII is adapting and launching the product for the U.S. home building market.

Global Innovation Partner Showcase: Yazaki Innovations will provide opportunities for Yazaki supported businesses and joint ventures to showcase technologies they are developing for a variety markets and industries including:

  • MOTER Technologies– Yazaki and MOTER are working together to develop insurance software that performs real-time risk analysis and insurance premium calculations, that are installable on in-vehicle devices.
  • IYT– A joint venture company between Yazaki China & International Automotive Technologies with a focus on high-voltage architectures, high-voltage electrical systems and related components.
  • NEXCO West– Is an engineering consulting firm specialized in pavement infrastructure condition assessment for advanced road maintenance utilizing inspection technologies driven by AI.
  • Yazaki Artificial Intelligence & Digital Division – is a dedicated unit that leverages cutting-edge artificial intelligence and digital technologies to analyze extensive data (mobility, factory, energy) and create new value for solving societal challenges. Their initiatives span manufacturing process automation, product innovation, and new service development. AI&D will highlight its team that can help companies to achieve high-quality Annotations.

Strategic Partnerships: The Strategic Partnerships Group (SPG) is a Yazaki Innovation’s division that identifies start-up companies that have new ideas and solve new problems and then it forges working relationships with those companies to implement their ideas in a quick and nimble way. Highlighted partners include:

  • Kargo – Kargo uses towers with AI camera systems to automatically scan incoming/outgoing material in real-time as pallets are loaded/unloaded from trucks, saving significant time in manual barcode scanning. YII has facilitated Yazaki becoming a financial backer of Kargo. YII has also facilitated improvements to the Towers and installed them in multiple manufacturing sites.
  • ThirdWave Automation -Third Wave deploys autonomous high reach forklifts in warehouses, using AI, sensors, and safety measures. Their unique human-in-the-loop approach enhances flexibility, scalability, and productivity in mobile robotics. Improving warehouse operations is a pain-point SPG is trying to solve.
  • Pulsetrain – Pulsetrain develops an integrated “In-Battery” system that combines the battery management system (BMS), inverter, charging electronics, and control software directly inside the battery pack. Their AI-enhanced algorithms optimize how batteries charge, discharge, and manage heat, extending battery life, improving efficiency, and reducing overall system complexity.
  • Atomic Industries – Atomic Industries uses AI to fully design and optimize injection-mold tooling. Their platform goes beyond automating parting lines and ejector pins — it also engineers the internal cooling system of the mold, which determines how fast and uniformly a part cools. This directly impacts cycle time, part quality, and tool life.
  • SupplyWhy – SupplyWhy uses AI to predict changes to customer demand forecasts and is accessible via an easy-to-use “chatbot” interface. They also automate various tasks for the production planner to simplify their day-to-day job.

Andretti IndyCar & Technical Collaboration: On display will be the #27 PreFab Home Wiring-sponsored IndyCar driven by Kyle Kirkwood to victory at the 2025 Long Beach Grand Prix along with a genuine Cosworth racing steering wheel highlighting a Yazaki-modified PCB for increased performance and efficiency.
