Yazaki Innovations’ Strategic Partnerships Group Accelerates Innovation Through Start-Up Collaboration at CES2026

Yazaki Innovations’ Strategic Partnerships Group (SPG) is dedicated to identifying start-up companies with novel ideas and breakthrough solutions to emerging challenges. SPG forges working relationships with these companies to rapidly implement innovation in a quick, nimble, and business-focused manner that helps Yazaki stay ahead of evolving market needs.

At CES, SPG will seek introductions to new start-ups while highlighting several successful partnerships and active projects that demonstrate its approach to accelerating value creation, including:

  • Kargo – Automated warehouse door scanning system
Kargo uses towers with AI camera systems to automatically scan incoming/outgoing material in real-time as pallets are loaded/unloaded from trucks, saving significant time in manual barcode scanning. Innovations facilitated Yazaki’s role as a financial backer of Kargo, supported technology enhancements and enabled deployments across multiple Yazaki manufacturing sites.
  • Third Wave Automation – Autonomous warehouse high reach forklift
Third Wave deploys autonomous high reach forklifts in warehouses, using AI, sensors, and safety measures. Their unique human-in-the-loop approach enhances flexibility, scalability, and productivity in mobile robotics.
  • Pulsetrain- AI-enhanced battery intelligence & integrated EV powertrain control
Pulsetrain develops an integrated “In-Battery” system that combines the battery management system (BMS), inverter, charging electronics, and control software directly inside the battery pack. Their AI-enhanced algorithms optimize how batteries charge, discharge, and manage heat, extending battery life, improving efficiency, and reducing overall system complexity.
  • Atomic Industries – AI-driven tooling mold design
Atomic Industries uses AI to fully design and optimize injection-mold tooling. Their platform goes beyond automating parting lines and ejector pins – it also engineers the internal cooling system of the mold, which determines how fast and uniformly a part cools. This directly impacts cycle time, part quality, and tool life.

SupplyWhy – AI-driven customer demand prediction
SupplyWhy uses AI to predict changes to customer demand forecasts and is accessible via an easy-to-use “chatbot” interface. They also automate various tasks for the production planner to simplify their day-to-day job.
